The easiest way to identify a cast vinyl is by examining its gauge. Cast films are typically manufactured with a 2.0 to 2.5 mil film thicknesses. A simple way to tell with Calon cast vinyls is to look at the release liner. If the Calon logo is printed in blue ink, then its cast.

It possesses superior conformability and improved adhesion to irregular surfaces like rivets, corrugations, and many textured surfaces and while minimum manufacturing runs are required for custom colours, colour matching can be a viable option for large jobs
